Bridget Martell MA, MD

Bridget Martell MA, MD brings over 25 years of experience as a physician-scientist, C- suite executive, independent board member, and now as an Operating Partner for Two Bear Capital. Throughout her career, she has moved from “bench to bedside” and contributed to the development of medicines through to regulatory approval and commercialization. As a C-suite executive, she was Chief Medical Officer of Juniper Pharmaceuticals, Kura Oncology, and RRD International, and was CEO of Artizan Biosciences. Throughout her career in pharma and biotech, Dr. Martell continued to teach at Yale University School of Medicine and was an Associate Clinical Professor for over 20 years. She currently serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Yale Ventures. She began her clinical investigation career at Yale with a career development award and was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar. Prior to this, she served in the National Health Service Corps where she shaped a South Bronx methadone maintenance treatment program into a primary care clinic. Dr. Martell trained and was a Resident and Chief Resident at Yale New Haven Hospital in Internal Medicine. She holds a B.Sc. in Microbiology from Cornell University, an M.A. in Molecular Immunology from Boston University, and an M.D. from The Chicago Medical School.
